Sheffield Live testing

Sheffield Live are now testing on 93.2 FM.
RDS = SHEFLIVE

A loop tape of music which sounds like ambient music from the late 80s/early 90s is transmitted, occasionally interspersed with a brief announcement.

Signal was first heard near junction 35 of the A1, and was still audible when I reached Clowne - although for much of the journey (at the extremes of its range) it was competing with BBC Radio 4 on or near 93.2

Hi Anthony

Just to say that if you are down this way again then tune in again as Sheffield Live! 93.2fm is doing it's proper test transmitting at the moment. The one that you heard was OFCOM doing their commissioning. Hope Blackpool is enjoyable.

Many thanks for the info. I listened in this morning and evening, sounds like Sheffield Live's gonna be a good station when it opens :-)

BTW I certainly enjoyed my 3 days in Blackpool last month. (Actually been home for a while, just been too lazy to up-date my blog properly for a while...)

Good luck for the station launch :-D
