Poll - future of FM broadcasting in the UK
As DAB is becoming increasingly popular, there is speculation that DAB stations (ie most of the current FM services) will - possibly within the next decade - be phased off the FM band.
This begs the question - what will become of the FM band when DAB takes over. One of the - in my humble opinion, most ridiculous - suggestions involves the FM band being used for non-broadcast radio, eg outside-broadcast links. There's millions of FM radios out there which could still be put to good use, so I hope FM radio is here to stay.
