Huddersfield pirate Frontline FM 94.7 heard this evening, for the first time in ages.

Heard in Garforth approx 16:00, still on the A1 south of the M62 (although had disappeared by Darrington). DJ on the station mentioned listeners as far as Sheffield.

Frequency FM returns (?)

Leeds pirate Frequency FM thought to have returned this evening.
Heard approx 5 pm on 88.1, near Rotherham on the M18, playing dance/rave music.
Still audible very weakly in Clowne (although with much interference from BBC Radio 2, on or near that frequency).

Also audible on way home tonight: Hit Music Radio 100.8 (end of M18 / junction 32 of M1).

Audible in Leeds: Fresh FM 95.6

No RSLs at all heard today :-(

Trivia - Mi Amigo mentioned on TV

Tonight on BBC2's "Three Men In Another Boat" programme, when the yacht went near Goodwin Sands in the Thames Estuary, the crew briefly mentioned they were near where the MV Mi Amigo - Radio Caroline's first ship - sank in March 1980.

On that subject, I've go a crap joke for you...

What's the difference between the Mi Amigo and this government?
On the Mi Amigo, fewer records were lost!

Happy New Year

Happy New Year 2008.

No RSLs heard today here in Clowne.

A visit to Hichenwood Lane, overlooking Clowne, I did hear 2 stations I haven't heard before:

103.0 The Eye from Melton Mowbray (previously The Wireless Company, TWC)
107.6 Radio Dawn from Nottingham - Asian language progerammes from the Karimia Institute, a Muslim organisation

Also noted was Beacon Radio on 97.2
